Édition 2026
Architecture en Champagne
An edition focused on what is "already there"
The 2026 edition of Architecture en Champagne promises once again to showcase the Champagne wine heritage through the creativity and expertise of its participants. This year, a particular focus on existing structures will inspire students and young architects who will face the challenge of designing and building unique vineyard lodges in just 13 days. Five teams, guided by talented architects, will transform iconic locations throughout the region. Each lodge will reflect a contemporary interpretation of the land and its traditions, combining the reuse of materials provided by the winemakers, technical constraints, and architectural expression. Join us in April to discover these new creations that will further enrich the Champagne landscape.
Eléonore NICOLAS and Xavier GEANT, architects
Eléonore NICOLAS and Xavier GEANT were born in 1979 and both graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Nancy in 2004 and 2005, respectively. They joined the Studiolada architectural collective in Nancy in 2009, which also includes Christophe AUBERTIN, Agnès HAUSERMANN, Aurélie HUSSON, and Benoit SINDT.
In 2014, they were awarded prizes in the Albums des Jeunes Architectes et Paysagistes (Young Architects and Landscape Architects Albums) and several other awards, including the National Timber Construction Prize.
Their work encompasses projects of varying scales, primarily located in the Grand Est region of France. Promoting this territory for its know-how and resources, participating in the development and implementation of local construction sectors, providing education to the various project owners and companies, and valuing what is already there, are all keys to entering into their architecture, all opportunities for encounters and sharing.
