Architecture en Champagne
The 4th of July 2025 will be the 10th anniversary of the UNESCO classification of hillsides, houses and champagne cellars. It is in this dynamic that the local section of winegrowers and the town hall of Polisy wanted to highlight their heritage. The clearing of the village, a place of historical festivities and a remarkable UNESCO viewpoint, is now dressed in an original and poetic architectural work. The elegant, hilly ribbon connects the hillside to the forest. The wind and anemones of the clearing require an aerial structure. From the width of a row of vines, the work is linear to blend into the landscape. To walk this ribbon is to appreciate the movements of the landscape of the bar coast. The walkers, winemakers and inhabitants will be able to see, observe, rest, taste, play and live champagne. This architecture is entirely influenced by the materials proposed by the inhabitants, barrels, arches, press and desks: objects full of life and history. Two continuous metal curves support the decking dotted with desk blades. The radiant platform invites to gather around the table, comfortable for a small dozen people. The upper part of the ribbon houses a bench with a panoramic view. The structure, very playful, offers multiple seats, heights and various views.
