Architecture en Champagne
The lodge is located in Courteron, on the Réaut family’s hillside plots within the "Côte des Bar" region. The site sits in direct relation to two distinct landscapes, vineyard and forest, linked by the systemic approach of biodynamic farming. Through the duality of these two worlds that are usually separate, the structure reveals their dialogue and interdependence. A wooden stake stands as a symbol of the traditional "pragmatism" of the biodynamic viticulture practiced on these slopes. Consequently, the structure is primarily composed of reclaimed vineyard stakes, arranged via a stacking strategy to form an arch. Its broad profile makes it a focal point of intrigue, framing both the intimate and expansive landscapes. The delicacy of its constituent elements encourages a sense of quiet observation, inviting visitors to look closely at their surroundings; it creates a stage where the main actors are the vines, the wind, the forest, and the sun.
