Architecture en Champagne
The vine lodge, an iconic form, acts as a frame. It integrates into the vineyards just as the vineyards take their place within it. The beam, massive yet light, used to structure the press and is now suspended above the landscape, bearing witness to the history of Maison Henriot. The circular wine cask breaks the regularity of the floor and guides the viewer’s gaze. This container, once used to store champagne, now highlights a heritage. The cladding, made of old staves, gradually blends in and opens up the landscape. It creates frames and views that highlight and showcase selected perspectives of the surroundings.
