Architecture en Champagne
The Blaise lodge is organized around two distinct platforms designed for complementary uses. The first, overlooking the Blaise stream, is dedicated to observing the surrounding landscape and wildlife. The second, situated at a higher level, serves as a welcoming gathering space equipped with several benches. The project centers on a symbolic element, a "tavaillon" (wooden shingle), with a form reminiscent of tree bark. This distinctive feature plays a dual role: it suggests a protective shell around the shelter while acting as a visual landmark for users of the Véloroute 52 cycle path. To set it apart from other elements, the shingle is treated using a charred-wood technique, enhancing both its durability and weather resistance. Finally, the roof features a radial design inspired by the structure of a bicycle wheel, thereby reinforcing the connection between the architecture and its surroundings.
